Adoption Timeline





June 2015- Met with OBGYN, Dr. Chalmers to to talk about invitro. 

July 2015- After praying, fasting and talking with my oncologist decided that adptoion was how we were going to have a family. 

September 8, 2015- I bought some plugs for the outlets, locking medicine box, clips to help keep cupboards closed,  and covers for doorknobs! We are baby proofing at the Pitcher house tonight! 

April 3, 2016- Went to some of my first yard sales to start collecting baby items for a nursery. 

May 7, 2016- Today we got a great deal on a sleeper sofa to still have room for guests, but more importantly to get the nursery ready! One step closer to home study! 


May 20, 2016- Some of my neighbors donated tons of baby clothes to us! 

June 1, 2016- Started planning some fundraisers and looking into blogs, donation pages, etc. 

June 22, 2016- We set up a donation page on Youcaring to help raise some money towards our adoption!!

June 25, 2016- We had our first adoption fundraiser Yard Sale! It went really well, and we were able to make some money, with the help of all those who donated, and also those who came and helped! 

June 28, 2016 -Met with our social worker Adrienne up in Salt Lake. Starting filling out official paperwork to prepare for adoption! 

July 8, 2016- Started getting little Pitcher's nursery room ready for our home study.

July 11, 2016- Adoption background checks complete! One step closer to our home study! 

August 2, 2016- All of our home study docs are complete and sent to Adrienne! 

August 6, 2016 HOME STUDY DAY!!!! Today is finally the day! We met with Adrienne in our home to complete our home study! It went really well and we cannot wait to begin the actual process of putting a profile together. 

September 2, 2016 WE ARE ALL SET TO GO!!! Adrienne sent us our home study report and now we are all ready legally!

October 8, 2016 We had our second yard sale fundraiser. It went really well and we are so grateful for all of the support from our neighbors as well as the community. We even had the opportunity to meet 2 birthmoms. They shared their experience of placing their babies! It was such a sweet experience!
